The ingredients in Specially-Coated Bromelain can:

Bromelain is a mixture of proteases extracted from the stem of the pineapple and has been used by Europeans for many years to inhibit inflammatory factors to support joint health. Specially-Coated Bromelain has been enteric coated so that it will not be activated in the stomach and used as a digestive enzyme.

Bromelain proteolytic enzyme extract from pineapple (Ananas comosus) (stem) [2400 GDU per gram]*** 500 mg
Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, silica, vegetable stearate, enteric coating (methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion NF, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, propylene glycol).

***The bromelain powder used in this product has the strength of 2400 GDU (gelatine digestive units) per gram.
Dosage and use
  • Suggested daily intake is one (1) enteric coated tablet once or twice on an empty stomach or as directed by a medical practitioner.
Caution
If you are taking anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications, or suffer from a bleeding disorder, please, consult your medical practitioner first. Bromelain may increase the bioavailability of tetracycline antibiotics. Specially-Coated Bromelain is enteric coated to protect the bromelain from becoming active in the stomach and act as a digestive enzyme for food
